Fireworks Train
July 4th
Skip the traffic jams & parking issues and take the train! Depart from Adams and travel in air-conditioned comfort for arrival in North Adams shortly before the anticipated start of the fireworks. Our reserved location for viewing will be just a few steps from the train. Bring your own snacks and beverages.​​​​

Ice Cream Train Rides

Beat the summer heat with our Ice Cream Train Rides, departing from our Adams station! Join us for a delightful journey through local history, all while indulging in refreshing ice cream treats. It's the perfect way to cool down and create lasting memories with family and friends.
Departures: 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm
$24 for adults ages 13+
$18 for children ages 3-13
$5 Toddler (or FREE if not having ice cream)

Railyard Tours
July 19th & August 16th | 3:00 PM
A Railfan Special. Ride the train to North Adams Ash Track and de-board to explore vintage rail equipment in restoration. Receive an exclusive, guided, informational tour of our rail yard in North Adams where our locomotives and other equipment are stored. Photography welcomed. For safety while walking through the yard, please do not wear open-toed shoes (sandals/flip-flops, etc.).

Purchasing Tickets
The Hoosac Valley Train Ride uses a dynamic ticketing system for secure online purchases. The Order Ticket links on this page will redirect you to a secure ticket-purchasing platform. Purchasing tickets online is recommended to guarantee a seat on the train, with email confirmation and a secure platform for transactions. Online ticket sales are final, and it's advised to buy tickets up to 30 minutes before departure. Walk-up ticket sales are not guaranteed. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Passenger Parking
Parking for the train is located at Adams Visitor Center, located at 3 Hoosac Street, Adams, MA. The Train Station is across the Street at 4 Hoosac Street. The train does not have restrooms onboard Restrooms are available at the Train Station Building. The historic train equipment cannot accommodate wheelchairs. Directions to parking.
Special Groups & Charters
We offer special day charters, coach charters, and group pricing for 20 or more tickets purchased on a regularly scheduled train. All special groups must contact charters@berkshirescenicrailroad.org or use the Contact Us form today.
