Motorama Service
August 24th | 9, 10, & 11 AM
Take the train to Motorama in North Adams!
Beat the traffic and Parking parking hassles and instead take the train. Only a short walk to the event from our North Adams station - about 1/4 mile to Main Street.
Scheduled departures from Adams at 9AM, 10AM & 11AM with trains returning from North Adams at 1PM, 2PM and 3PM. Optional First Class seating on-board the B&O 1960 in comfortable long distance seats that are unique to this car. A Table for four, which includes the fare for four seats, are available on board the B&O 1960. ​

Democracy Train Limited

The 2025 Democracy Limited, a partnership with the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, will take place at 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 14th. Scheduled to use locomotive 8619 with cars 3204 & 4301. "Parlor Car" 3204 is being sold as First Class seating

Fall Foliage Trains

Ride our Fall Foliage Train Ride as leaves are falling and tickets are speeding out the door! The Speedliner features the New Haven 41 and Baltimore & Ohio 1960 two of our classic Budd Rail Diesel Cars. B&O 1960, was built in 1956 to service the company’s “Daylight Speedliner” service, which ran from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. Accommodations included 24 long distance coach seats, booth style restaurant seating for up to 24 people, a modest kitchen, and a baggage section. Optional First Class seating on-board the B&O 1960 in comfortable long distance seats that are unique to this car.

Family‑Friendly Halloween Train Ride! Hop aboard our spooky‑fun, family–friendly Halloween Train Ride from Adams to North Adams! Departing Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, with charming 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM departures both days, this seasonal treat blends festive flair with scenic Berkshire views and a taste of railroading history. Much like our popular Ice Cream Train or Motorama Service rides, this Halloween-themed excursion offers multiple departure options, seating upgrades including cozy coach or elevated first-class choices, and a special group-friendly table option

Purchasing Tickets
The Hoosac Valley Train Ride uses a dynamic ticketing system for secure online purchases. The Order Ticket links on this page will redirect you to a secure ticket-purchasing platform. Purchasing tickets online is recommended to guarantee a seat on the train, with email confirmation and a secure platform for transactions. Online ticket sales are final, and it's advised to buy tickets up to 30 minutes before departure. Walk-up ticket sales are not guaranteed. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Passenger Parking
Parking for the train is located at Adams Visitor Center, located at 3 Hoosac Street, Adams, MA. The Train Station is across the Street at 4 Hoosac Street. The train does not have restrooms onboard Restrooms are available at the Train Station Building. The historic train equipment cannot accommodate wheelchairs. Directions to parking.
Special Groups & Charters
We offer special day charters, coach charters, and group pricing for 20 or more tickets purchased on a regularly scheduled train. All special groups must contact charters@berkshirescenicrailroad.org or use the Contact Us form today.
